James Gwertzman

Lead Artist & Co-Founder

James works at the intersection of art and technology, with more than 20 years of experience in the video game industry. He has founded two game studios. He sold his last company, a cloud provider for gaming, to Microsoft in 2018. He has worked as a set and lighting designer, and as an animator for visual effects in film. As lead artist, James spearheads the strategic vision for the Moonlight Collective, as well as acts as the team's production lead.

Casey Marvin

Creative Director & Co-Founder

Casey is a Canadian experience designer and fabricator. She works on large-scale immersive art, AI/ML, conversation design, and computer vision. Her past work includes product design for Fidelity Investments and Microsoft Azure. She currently manages the Bedrock and AI/ML Languages UX Design team within Amazon AWS. She is also a co-founder and the Creative Director for the Moonlight Collective.

Paul McDaniel

Technical Director

Paul has over 20 years of experience as an engineer, software architect, and program manager in Seattle, Washington. He loves bringing his artistic visions to life by leveraging the power of technology. Today he leads development efforts for multiple AI and machine learning platforms at Microsoft, and is the software engineering lead for the Moonlight Collective.

Nathan Pegram

Hardware Director

Nathan is a multidisciplinary artist, engineer, and scientist with a broad range of experience including fabrication, electronics design, firmware development, industrial automation, and thermal design. For the past 15 years, he has focused on creating and refining technology to improve healthcare in resource-challenged environments. Currently, he is excited to apply his technical expertise and ingenuity to creating art, both independently and collaboratively with the Moonlight Collective.
